Ijaz Malik, MD, FACC
Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine
Board Certifications: Internal Medicine Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, National Board of Echocardiography
Dr. Malik joined our group in 2001. He earned his medical degree at King Edward Medical College, Lahore, Pakistan in 1985 and remained in Pakistan until 1990 when he traveled to the United States. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine, earning the title of Resident of the Year in 1990-91, and in 1992, as Chief Resident, he received the Dr. Dick Wartgow Outstanding Medical Resident Award. He went on to complete his Cardiology Fellowship at Aurora Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Malik is an invasive cardiologists and has special interest in nuclear cardiology. He is affiliated with Aurora Sinai Medical Center, Aurora Medical Center Hartford, and Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center.
He is a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is board certified in cardiovascular diseases, nuclear cardiology and adult echocardiology.
Dr. Malik provides a full range of specialized services and procedures including cardiopulmonary stress testing, angiograms, echocardiograms, cardiolite perfusion stress tests and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE). He is a member of the teaching faculty and participates in the clinical training of cardiology fellows and medical residents.
